About this design
An original, generic poseable figure, about 154 mm (6 in) tall, with 14 snap-fit ball joints. Every part prints flat with no supports, and the whole figure fits on one plate.
NOT TEST PRINTED YET: designed and checked in CAD, but not test printed yet. Joint feel depends on your printer and material, so please print the coupon first.
- Joints at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, hips, knees and ankles. Each one tilts about 39 degrees each way and twists freely. Good for standing, walking and running poses. Not enough for full 90 degree elbow or knee bends.
- A joint test coupon is included. Print it first to see how the snap fit feels on your printer.
- Ready-made print plate (3MF) with all 15 parts laid out.
Parts (15 figure parts, left and right are identical):
- Head x1, Chest x1, Pelvis x1
- Upper arm x2, Lower arm x2, Hand x2
- Thigh x2, Shin x2, Foot x2
- Joint test coupon x1 (3 pieces, optional, print first)
Warning: small parts, choking hazard. Not for children under 3. Adult supervision recommended.

Sockets down and balls up for limbs, head crown down, chest shoulders down, hands upright, feet sole down. - Sliced (PrusaSlicer, generic 0.4 mm PLA profile): full plate, PLA, 0.2 mm layers, 15% infill, 2 walls, brim, no supports. 34.4 g, about 4 h 52 m. - Assembly: print fig_coupon_v2 first. Sockets are marked with 1 / 2 / 3 notches for 0.10 / 0.15 / 0.20 mm interference. The figure uses 0.15 mm. - Snap ball into socket: hips into thighs, knees into shins, ankles into feet (heel side), waist ball into the pelvis, head onto the chest, shoulders into upper arms, elbows into lower arms, wrists into hands. - Too tight: scrape the lead-in chamfer a little. Too loose: a thin coat of varnish on the ball tightens it.
