About this design
A glossy orange orb with red stars, made to hang on the tree. Print one, or print the full set of 1 to 7 stars.
- 50 mm orb in two halves, so it prints with no supports and a clean surface.
- Stars are separate red tiles that press into pockets: two colours on any printer, no colour swaps or multi-material needed.
- Separate hanger cap, printed flat for strength, in gold or silver.
- Two small pins line up the halves before gluing.

Print notes
- PLA, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 3 walls, 15% gyroid, no supports. - Halves: flat split face on the bed, dome up. Star tiles flat. Pins upright. Hanger cap flat. - Colours: halves orange; tiles red; hanger cap gold or silver; pins any. No layer colour swaps on the ornament. - Star tiles: use orb_star_tile_11mm for 1 to 4 stars, orb_star_tile_8p5mm for 5 to 7 stars. Print as many as the star count (plus 1 or 2 spares). - Estimate (not sliced): about 20 g and 1.6 h per ornament. - Assembly: press tiles into the front (drop of glue optional), put the 2 pins in the back half, glue the halves, glue the hanger cap plug into the top socket. - Box topper version (in the gift card box listing): topper_wishorb40, swap to orange at Z 11.0 for a contrasting base; 4 red star tiles.
